ALL ABOUT STEVE.

I believe in collaboration, communication, and rhythm. I can see cuts in my mind before they happen, and pacing has always come naturally to me. My passion for film started at the drive-in movies with my dad in Pittsburgh, PA, and took root editing on an old Compaq computer in my parents' basement. Self-taught, I worked my way up from Post PA on M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening to Apprentice Editor on Won't Back Down, and eventually into a career as an Assistant Film Editor and VFX Editor on major motion pictures and television. In 2019 I moved to Los Angeles to work on The Mandalorian, where I live with my wife Rebecca and our two cats, Louie and Penny.

My proudest credits include the Academy Award-winning I, Tonya, where I worked as both First Assistant Editor and VFX Editor to free up my editor's focus on her Oscar-nominated cut, and Deepwater Horizon, where I liaised between VFX and Editorial across 900 VFX shots. Since 2019 I've been with The Mandalorian, growing into the very rewarding role of Lead VFX Editor across three seasons and three spinoff projects, including a feature film, and running a department that has tracked as many as 5,000 VFX shots at once. As a kid, I was in my backyard filming homemade lightsaber duels and rigging up my own special effects. Now I get to do the same thing, just on a much bigger scale, for some of the biggest movies and shows in Hollywood.
